A New Home For PokeDream.com
Thursday, February 24, 2005
For those of you who experienced the terror of downtime yesterday, you know that Pokemon Dream has changed servers. Yes, I know it must have been quite scary to not be able to see Pokemon Dream. I have good news - downtime is history!

PD is currently on a very reliable server with much more resources. From here, PD can expand even more. I'm still uploading necessary files to the server, and this also means that some links will still be broken. However, MOST links work now. If you see something that you believe might be an error, please notify me as soon as possible.

Pokemon's Doing Great!
Wednesday, February 18, 2004 @ 10:25 AM EST
According to Pokemon.com, Pokemon is doing great here in the United States! Pokemon Heroes is the currently the best selling kids' video. Pokemon is the most watched show on Saturday mornings on Kids' WB. Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire were the second and third best selling video games last year. If combined, they would be the number one selling game of last year. See, Pokemon's still doing great!

Reloading Error
Tuesday, February 17, 2004 @ 8:00 AM EST
I appologize to those of you who came to Pokemon Dream within the last few days and found that the site kept on reloading by itself. This was due to a coding error, and hopefully, will not happen again. This incident probably annoyed many visitors, and definitely wasted a ton of bandwidth. Since we are already in bandwidth trouble, this just makes it worst. The only good news today is that I've once again updated the Fire Red/Leaf Green Walkthrough up to Celadon City. Once again, I deeply apologize for my mistake.

Double The 'Mon
Saturday, February 14, 2004 @ 11:18 PM EST
Two new episodes of Pokemon Advanced, Wurmple and Wurmple! Which is Which? and A Hole Lotta Trouble, were shown this Saturday morning. From now on, Kids' WB has decided to air two episodes of Pokemon on Saturdays, one right after the other. The first episode will be brand new at 10:00 a.m. This will be followed by a previously aired episode at 10:30 a.m. These times do not apply to everyone, so be sure to check your local listings for an accurate time.

Bandwidth Issues
Friday, February 13, 2004 @ 7:56 AM EST
There's not that much news these days in the world of Pokemon. However, I do have some Pokemon Dream news to put up. I would like to inform you all that PD's doing great! We are receiving an average of around 1400 unique visitors everyday. However, this can, and will lead to bandwidth problems. This is when PD goes down for a few days in the end of the week. Since we're receiving so much visitors this month, we are definitely going down for a few days. I just wanted everyone to know that do not be suprised if you see the site being down. This problem will be fixed after April when we move to a new server.

Record Breaking Poll Results
Monday, February 9, 2004 @ 6:23 AM EST
The last poll question was: Which is your favorite legendary trio? It turned out that the Birds (Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres) came first at 43%, the came Beasts (Raikou, Entei, Suicune) came closely in second at 36%, and the least favorite, the Regis (Regirock, Regice, Registeel), came in last at only 19%. A total of 493 people voted. That broke the record for the most posts in Pokemon Dream's history. At the same time, Pokemon Dream received a total of 2250 unique visitors on Saturday, February 7, also breaking the record.

I have put up another poll, this time asking a similar question. Please place your vote, and see if we can break another record!

Saturday, February 7, 2004 @ 11:22 AM EST
Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire was released on November 21st, 2002 in Japan. It has been a bit over fourteen months since its release, and has sold over five million copies in Japan! This is great news to every Pokemon lover, as it shows that Pokemon is still going strong.

Pokemon Dream also has good news. Our visitors are growing everyday now due to the PokeDex and the Fire Red/Leaf Green Walkthrough. We also have two new affiliates: Prima Games and Seafoam Island.

Pokemon Heroes Selling Well
Friday, February 6, 2004 @ 5:21 AM EST
The video charts for the first week of release of the Pokemon Heroes VHS/DVD has been released, and it is doing great! Pokemon Heroes is at the top of two video charts. It is at #1 on the Top 5 Kids' Video Charts, and at #3 on the Top Video Charts. It looks like if Pokemon Heoes were to be released straight to video, it would have done a lot better getting into people living rooms instead of showing in only 200+ theaters. To see Pokemon Dream's page (with a detailed summary and images) on this movie, please click here.

Bug In Ruby/Sapphire Can Be Fixed
Thursday, February 5, 2004 @ 7:58 AM EST
As some of you may know, Ruby/Sapphire has a clock bug in it. If you played your game for more than a year, your game's internal clock malfunctions, effecting many things in the game. The good news is, as some of you may also know, a bonus disk will be included with some pre-ordered packages of Pokemon Colosseum. This contains a patch that will fix the bug, once you transfer Jirachi onto the game.

I have added an all new episode guide in the Pokemon Advanced section. I have also updated theFire Red/Leaf Green Walkthrough, extending it to the near-end of Cerulean City. Check back everday for updates of the walkthrough.

Nine Islands
Tuesday, February 3, 2004 @ 7:59 AM EST
It has been confirmed that there are nine islands in Fire Red/Leaf Green, each of those having a specific purpose. Most of these islands contain legendary Pokemon. Of course, even more islands could be discovered sometime soon.

I am still working on the Walkthrough for Fire Red/Leaf Green. Progress is pretty slow, but hopefully I'll get done soon.

Fire Red/Leaf Green Walkthrough
Monday, February 2, 2004 @ 3:53 AM EST
Pokemon Fire Red and Leaf Green has been released in Japan for a few days already, and I bet that it's selling pretty well. Unfortunately, according to IGN, only 500,000 copies of the two games have been made, which could very much be related to production problems with the Wireless Adaptor.

The good news is that I've already played Fire Red up to Cerulean City, and have put up a detailed Walkthrough of the game up to that point. The walkthrough contains a few screenshots, so even those fans who can't play the game can enjoy the new graphics.

Finally, I apologize for the downtime that lasted around three days because of bandwidth problems. I have shut down the PPA because of this. This isn't a good thing, so let's hope that it doesn't happen again.
