Some Minor Updates
Friday, July 28, 2006 @ 07:18 PM EDT
Well, seeing how this site needed an update, here's some small stuff. Most importantly, there is a new Pokemon, Koroboshi, which looks like a pre-evolution of Volbeat/Illumise. My guess is it hatches from an egg when you breed Volbeat and Illumise together holding a certain item, and evolves into one or the other by trading it while holding a special item. This is just a guess, however, and is based on NO proof what-so-ever; we don't even know if it's any sort of evolution to any Pokemon. Also, there is a rumor about the new starters, but they could just be fakes created by smaller sites to get publicity. Pokemon 10th Anniversary Journey Across America has ended, but the party will be held at Bryant Park in New York City on August 8th from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with a special appearance by champion wrestler: Hulk Hogan.

Roselia Evolution
Thursday, July 20, 2006 @ 03:07 PM EDT
Not much of an update, but we now have proof that Roselia evolves. It's name is Rozureido. We don't know anything about it yet, nor the starters. We do have a new Pokemon; it's a still unconfirmed evolution of Electabuzz. In other news, if you're at the San Diego Comic-Con, (running from July 20-23) you can see some special exhibits. The will be showing a special airing of Pokemon: Lucario and the Mystery of Mew Thursday, July 20th from 3:00 to 5:00 P.M. You can play demos of Pokemon: Mystery Dungeon, catch sneak peaks of Pokemon: Battle Frontier. Also, there was a live Q&A with the new voices of Ash and Brock today from 10:30 to 11:30 A.M. Sorry this is so late, the Q&A has already passed.

Four More D/P Videos
Monday, July 17, 2006 @ 11:42 PM EDT
Well, in addition to the short video before (you can see it here if you want,) we know have 4 more videos for the new DS games. Here is a video of Team Galaxy. A video of your Rival. And this page has two videos at the same time of Lucario Battling. Again all these sites are in Japanese. And on another topic, please don't let the comments section be ruined by having people fight more than comment, like what happened to Aqualugia's "New Pokemon" update.

More from Coro Coro
Saturday, July 15, 2006 @ 11:50 PM EDT
Sorry for the delay, but here's the news you've been waiting for all week. Well, some new information was released today from Coro Coro. First off, there is a new Pokemon that looks like an evolution of Elekid/Electabuzz, but we don't know for sure. We still don't know anything about the starters (shocking, isn't it?) But, we know three new attacks: Lucario has a new attack called In-Fight, Shadow Claw from Weavile, and from Pachirisu, Discharge. Yet, like Wave-Guiding Bomb from Lucario, we don't know what any of these attacks do or what type they are. There appears to be a feature in these games that lets you physically put items on Pokemon by pointing at the item with the Nintendo DS stylus, and dragging it and putting it on your Pokemon; however, we don't know if you can see the Pokemon with the held item in battle yet. Weather is in effect in D/P, and probably has some new ones, like snow. In the new series of Pokemon: Diamond and Pearl, the female trainer is called Hikari, and we don't know if it will be a seperate series from the main storyline. Tomorrow, Pokemon Ranger & the Prince of the Sea- Manafi! hits theaters in Japan, and the 10th Pokemon movie is now in production (more information about it by 2007, but it does follow the Diamond/Pearl storyline.) Some stuff we're not sure of yet is that the starters trio might be Fighting/Dark/Psychic types. Now, if a move is physical or special depends on the attack itself. Before, all normal attacks were physical, whether or not they attacked directly. But now, attacks like Hyper Beam will be special attacks regardless of type (might want to change that battle strategy now.) Shinou has an uderground world or city. And there is a chance Roselia might have an evolution (hmm... maybe it's Cherimu.)
Serebii.net once again provided the info for this update.

New Pokemon
Wednesday, July 12, 2006 @ 03:44 PM EDT
This is a short update, all that I have are pics of new Pokemon. Their names are Cherimu, Pachirissu, and Donapion. I apologize for my last update because the last 3 Pokemon were fake. I didn't know that they were fake. The legendary Pokemon representing Diamond is Diaruga, the Time-Ruling Pokemon, and Parukia, the Space-Ruling Pokemon.

These are real. So until next time, see ya.

A Stew of Diamond and Pearl
Wednesday, July 12, 2006 @ 02:58 PM EDT
A lot of information about Diamond and Pearl was released from the August edition of Coro Coro magazine; so much I'll organize it by topic. (Again, this will have many spoilers, so be sure you want to know)

New Pokemon and Names: The legendary Pokemon's names have been revealed. The Diamond legendary is Diaruga, the Time-Ruling Pokemon, and the Pearl legendary is Parukia, the Space-Traveling Pokemon. Three more Pokemon were also revealed. The grass type Cherimu, the Sakura Pokemon (which, thanks to Sakura from Naruto, I think means "Cherry Blossom"), the electric type Pachirisu, the Electric Squirrel Pokemon, and the Poison-Dark type Dorapion, the Changeable Scorpian Pokemon. Cherimu has the ability of Flower Head, and can learn Trouble Seed. Pachirisu has the ability of Run Away or Pick-Up, and can learn Thunderbolt. Dorapion has the ability of Battle Armor or Snipe, and can learn Poison Fang and Cross Poison.

New Abilities: The ability of Flower Head can power the Pokemon using it and its teammates when Sunny Day is in effect. Snipe is an ability that increases the base power of an attack if it's a critical hit. Unstable Gait (which, in addition to Keen Eye, is an ability of Perapuu) increases evasion if the Pokemon is confused. Lucario's second ability is Humble Heart, which increases Lucario's speed if it flinches.

New Attacks: Trouble Seed can temporarily change the foe's ability to Insomnia. Cross Poison has a high ratio of critical hits and poisoning (like Poison Tail.) Lucario has a new attack called Wave-Guiding Bomb which is a fighting attack. Munchlax has an attack called Nature Spurt, which can use the Berry Munchlax might be holding to change the strength and type of an attack. Weavile has an attack called Freeze, which disables the foe's Hold Item from working. Buizeru has an attack called Aqua Jet, which lets it attack first (like Quick Attack.)

Misc: The bad guys in these games are Team Galaxy. The rival in these games isn't the opposite gender of the person you chose (i.e. If you picked May, your rival won't be Brendan.) The bottom of the Pokemon Center is for WiFi connections. When in battle, the bottom screen of the DS is for battle options (possibly Fight, Pokemon, Item, Run.) And the Menu is now organized into: HP/PP Recovery, Pokeballs, Status Recovery, and Battle Use.

Anime Stuff: In Japan, the series after the Pokemon: Advanced series will be called Pokemon Diamond and Pearl will feature the female trainer from the two games (like May from Ruby and Sapphire.) Also, Diaruga will make an appearance in the ninth Pokemon movie: Pokemon Ranger and the Prince of the Sea- Manafi!

Thanks to serebii.net for all the info!

A Glance at D/P
Saturday, July 8, 2006 @ 02:33 PM EDT
Yahoo!'s Japan Page has revealed a new video for Diamond and Pearl. It's pretty short, and doesn't tell much, but you can see what the human sprites and towns look like. Also on this site, you can see a map of what Diamond and Pearl's region Shinou looks like. Click here to watch the DP video. This site is in Japanese, so I'd just watch the video. You can click on links on the page to see more D/P stuff, but I wouldn't, unless I knew what I was doing. That's all for now!
