A Few Things
Posted On: Monday, September 23, 2002   By: Mewtwo
Were you stunned to see so much news? Well, I've found a copy of the site (the version before it had crashed) somewhere on the web that someone else had copied. The news below has all its original posting dates.

I'm trying to improve PD as quick as possible;PD's now getting around 200 unique hits per day, a tiny bit of improvement. And now...

Attention Webmasters!

Do you own a Pokémon website? If you do, join the PD Top 20 today to get your site ranked! I just set it up a while ago, and I hope all webmasters will join. Click here to check it out!

Pokémon Dream Back

Around two months ago, Pokémon Dream went well, with over 900 unique visitors per day. PD was on a great new server, T35, and I got everything ready. About a month ago, the server deleted my files. PD crashed for a month. Finally, a few days ago, I set it back up, with fewer data, and much less visitors (around 100 a day). I will keep on improving PD like it once was. In order to do that, I need all of you visitors to tell all your friends that Pokémon Dream is back up immediately, now at two addresses. The main URL is at http://pokedream.tk

The other one is at http://pkmndream.tk
Keep on visiting, and Pokémon Dream will be back and running greatly!

See Ya!

For the past week, Pokémon Dream has grown tremendously. From a weak site averaging 400 unique visitors a day hosted on a totally broken host (Tripod), to a fantastic Pokémon website getting over 800 unique visitors per day! In only one week, PD has grown so much. I have requested for affiliation with Serebii.net.

I told the webmaster how many visitors I got. He replied telling me that he doesn't affiliate with other people, and that Serebii.net gets 18,000 unique hits. I can believe that, seeing the quality of his site. But, I say to all owners of Pokémon websites that are more superior than PD: I will rise to be greater than all websites. I will beat Serebii.net, and I will one day become as big as The PokeMasters once was. Believe me, Pokémon Dream will have a good future...

Now that was a serious statement, wasn't it? I shall be going away for a while. While I'm gone, nothing can be updated, since I have failed to find a news editor. Oh well.

Breaking News!

You won't believe your eyes, 'cause I don't. Here is a picture from Pokemon.com, showing Ash, Brock, the new professor, a kid, the new girl trainer in Ruby/Sapphire, and what seems to be the new starter Pokémon! This confirms that there will be another season of Pokémon after the fifth (currently airing in Japan). Ash and Brock have new clothes, something quite amazing. Misty is not in this picture, so my guess is that Misty won't be in the sixth season. The starter Pokémon really disappoints me. Other than that blue Pokémon, the two others look horrible! Of course, we'll all probably get used to that.

Today I've added an Experience Calculator and Critical Hit Calculator for the Gold/Silver Game Guides section. I got the codes from PokeMasters.com, which once was a huge Pokémon site. Sadly, the webmaster can't afford to have his site up. I can only wish that someday he'll bring The PokeMasters alive again...

TCG Reports

I have added two new TCG Reports on Sabrina's Alakazam and Rocket's Scyther, two great Pokémon cards. PD only has a total of 3 reports. I really need you visitors to help me build the site by sending in TCG Reports of your own.

Today we have two new affiliates! Poke-Advanced is an excellent site, and Pokemon Icons is just as good. I probably will put some of their beautiful icons on PD.

Here's the final paragraph of the day. Ever since Pokémon Dream got off Tripod, got onto this new server, and got a free domain (which is only a week ago), PD's visitors have risen to be around 650 unique visitors per day! Now that is amazing!

I have found quite a few new screenshots for Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire on the official website. They look real nice!

It looks like Pokemon.com is reavieling more and more information on these two new games that are set to come out in Japan in late November. As more new info on the new games come out, you can be sure you'll find all that you can expect on Pokémon Dream.

Also, I've added huge synopsises for two movies (Pokemon 4Ever, and the 5th movie) and a few episodes thanks to the stuff that Xeno Lugia provided me.

The PokéDex is finally fixed up and ready for viewing! I have added a new section of pictures for games that shows all the pictures of currently known new Pokémon for Ruby/Sapphire. Also, I have made the page for the Legendary Set (of Pokémon TCG) showing a bit of information and a set spoiler. If anyone has details about the cards in the theme decks (Lava and Turmoil), please contact me.

Here's the good news: Xeno Lugia (an excellent episode guide writer)has given PD permission to use his episode and movie guides! That means pretty soon we will have a full Episode Guide section. Yay!

This month's Coro Coro magazine revealed three new Pokémon that will appear in Pokémon Ruby/Sapphire, the GBA games. One looks like a pelican, one is a shark Pokémon that looks like a shark's head, and the last one just looks weird.

The pelican Pokémon's name is Peripaa, the shark's name is Samehadaa, and finally the weird looking thing with green dots all over it is called Kinokoko. Keep visiting for more Pokémon Advanced news.

Pokémon 4Ever, the fourth Pokémon movie, is coming out in theaters in the fall of 2002. The movie was once known as Celebi: A Timeless Encounter. A special Celebi Pokémon Card-E will be giving to those attending the movie. Hopefully, this movie will do better than the previous Pokemon 3.

I am currently working hard on repairing the PokéDex. I need to change all the extentions (over 250) and links of the PokéDex pages to .shtml. That's hard work!

The news you see here now is made from a news program similar to NewsPro, except using PHP. What I need is some people to help me search the net for Pokémon news, and using this system to post it. So if you would like to become a news poster for Pokémon Dream, contact me by clicking the word "Contact" at the very top of the page.
