Tuesday, September 28, 2004 @ 9:04 AM EDT
The Pokemon GBA Video Contest is over! A total of over 90 people have entered the contest. Many were deleted either due to incomplete or untruthful information or double submissions. For all those people who've entered the contest, please check your e-mail. Five lucky people were randomly chosen for a chance to get the prizes, and were e-mailed with information on how to proceed. The e-mail is titled "PokeDream.com's Contest: You've Been Chosen!". If you see that e-mail, open it up immediately and follow the directions. I will soon be announcing the winner...

Major Updates
Sunday, September 26, 2004 @ 12:00 AM EDT
Today, I've done quite a few things to improve Pokemon Dream. I have recoded the entire Pokemon Picture Archive in PHP, and will soon be adding many new pages filled with images soon. I've taken out a pop-up code on the main pages, so expect few to none pop-ups on the main pages.

Also, thanks to strawhat, Pokemon Dream now has a FireRed/LeafGreen: Changes FAQ. This will tell you what's so special about Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen, and how it differs from previous games. I'm still waiting for someone to send in some Pokemon Emerald info...

Pokemon Emerald First Day Sales Figures
Monday, September 20, 2004 @ 7:46 PM EDT
Pokemon Emerald, as many of you know, was released on September 16th in Japan, along with several other games. On its first day of release, Pokemon Emerald sold a whopping 372,000 copies, more than any other game released on that day. That just shows how great Pokemon is, and especially Pokemon Emerald.

Also, many of you probably would like some Emerald info. I will be trying to get a hold of some data and pictures to ensure that those Pokemon fans who got a hold of Emerald can play their game nice and happily.

Nintendo DS Release Date & Price
Sunday, September 19, 2004 @ 11:54 PM EDT
The Nintendo DS, the new handheld game system with two screens, has been set for release on November 14th. That's right, in less than two months, the $149.82 (MSRP) Nintendo DS can be in your hands. Wal-Mart has a page for this new game system for those who want to pre-order it. Check it out here

In site news, I have completed the PokeDex. After a long time of working on it, it's finally done. Now I suppose I can begin adding some Pokemon Emerald info.

Pokemon Emerald Shatters Hopes of G/S Remake
Sunday, September 19, 2004 @ 3:18 AM EDT
It has been confirmed that the Gold and Silver starters (Chikorita, Cyndaquil, and Totodile) can be obtained through Pokemon Emerald without cheating or any help from Nintendo. Pokemon Emerald has only been released for a few days, and those folks who took time to go through the entire game (not me, since I had FireRed to play) found out quite a bit about it. Pokemon Emerald is a wonderful third-edition to Ruby/Sapphire, and contains many new things, including the ability to obtain the Johto starters.

After catching all the Hoenn Pokemon in Pokemon Emerald, Professor Birch will let you choose one of three Gold/Silver starters. This is bad news for those who are hoping for a Gold/Silver remake, since this bit of news simply destroys all hope. But even though there won't be a Gold/Silver remake, we can always look forward to the fourth generation games!

Now for some site news. Yesterday, September 18th, was truly a spectacular day. Pokemon Dream had received over 6,300 unique visitors! I wouldn't even have dreamed about it, since the record to break was a bit over 4,400. I never expected to get so many visitors, but we did, and that's a great thing. I hope that today will be even better.

Friday, September 17, 2004 @ 1:04 AM EDT
Today I've made a huge update to the Pokemon FireRed/LeafGreen Walkthrough which is about 95% done. All the Sevii Islands are completely covered. The only thing missing right now is the guide for the Unknown Dungeon and the Naval and Birth Islands. These will be completed as soon as possible. Also, I've typed up a FireRed/LeafGreen Review, discussing my opinions on these new games.

FireRed and LeafGreen Layout
Tuesday, September 14, 2004 @ 12:07 AM EDT
Suprised? This is Pokemon Dream's new layout, after having the old one for only more than a month. Why was that layout taken off? Well, I've been getting quite a lot of complaints from many visitors either saying that the old colors hurt their eyes or the words were too hard to read. Thus, I decided to make a new layout that's more eyeball friendly. As you can see, this new layout is based on FireRed and LeafGreen. I hope you enjoy it!

Major Progress
Sunday, September 12, 2004 @ 11:59 PM EDT
Due to the recent release of Pokemon FireRed and Pokemon LeafGreen, Pokemon Dream's unique visitor count has shot over 4,000 for the second time ever. Today was an amazing day with tons of updates, and at one time when over 50 visitors were online. I have played Pokemon FireRed all day, and have added Pokemon locations to most of the pages in the walkthrough. I have also added a World Map and Help Features to the Pokemon FireRed/LeafGreen section. In addition to that, I have added a new game to the Arcade, Skateboard Pikachu. May visitors continue to rise!

In addition to that, I have continued to play my Pokemon FireRed, and am continuing to update the walkthrough. That's all for now.

Updates, Updates
Sunday, September 5, 2004 @ 3:32 PM EDT
Many updates today. On the main page, as you can see, there is a poll regarding FireRed/LeafGreen, a topic that is currently most viewed by visitors. I've also added a border around the whole page and made text a bit darker, thanks to suggestions from our newest news poster, Kylej. Also, I've added a Pokemon Advanced Challenge page in the Episode Guide. Advanced Challenge is the new season of Pokemon, scheduled to air on September the 11th.

Currently, I haven't been able to get new episode guides from Audrey. This could mean no episode guides for quite a while. Hopefully, I'll figure out a way to get new guides soon.

Disaster For PD and Visitors?
Saturday, September 4, 2004 @ 1:26 AM EDT
It's a new month, and school has probably started (or will start soon) for most Pokemon fans. That maybe means a decline of visitors to the site. Currently, Google has not indexed most of PD, and when Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen comes out, that could mean disaster. We currently have the BEST Pokemon FireRed/LeafGreen Walkthrough, but if no one can find it on Google in a few days, then PD will be losing a lot of visitors, and the visitors will be missing out on a lot of the best details. So please help us out, and tell all fellow Pokemaniacs to come to PD, because after all, this is the only place to be.
